Description:
- Initiate on-going audits and inspections to ensure the work performed meets or exceeds standards, issuing corrective action when needed.
- Ensure all QC documentation is completed and retained to meet requirements.
- Inform production management of any issues that will affect production, quality, or safety.
- Performing dimensional inspections on steel pieces after assembly, inspecting welding preparations and tack welds, reporting, and addressing non-conformances, updating inspection progress in the system, interpreting plans and standards, and calibrating inspection tools.
- Assist with on-site customer inspections.
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, use measurement tools and techniques to verify geometric tolerances of fabricated parts and assemblies.
- Coordinating root cause analysis of defective products and presenting the findings to production manager.
- Performs regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety program policies and procedures.
