Job description
Job Title: Embedded Software Developer
Location: Salt Lake City or Boise ID
Salary: $90K-$140K
Requirements: Security Clearance, Embedded System, C/C++
- Develop embedded software with C on bare metal or embedded operating systems
- Advanced development/debugging tools, (C compilers, linkers, in-circuit debug, logic analyzers, etc) to evaluate/ test embedded application performance and security
- Participate in all aspects of product design life cycle including system architecture, design, development, verification
- Document design and results, work individually and as a team
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience in embedded software development, using embedded processor architectures (ARM, Microblaze, NIOS, RISC-V, PowerPC, or similar processors)
- Programming ability (C/C++, assembly, scripting)
- Knowledge of low-level computer architecture (CPUs, Memory Management Units, IOMMU, serial buses), FLASH programming, boot loaders, board bring-up, debug
- Can detail complex technical concepts in writing for both technical and general audiences
Preferences for:
Active US Security Clearance
- Knowledge of applied cryptography
- Principles of cyber security to operational technology/embedded systems
-Reverse engineering hardware and software
- Expertise using Xilinx Vivado, additional software coding languages (Python)
- Embedded system design experience, operating systems experience
