Job description
Alderson Loop is looking for a Technical Writer to join a project with an enterprise client in the Energy space. This individual will join their team and contribute to the success of their products through high-quality documentation. As a Technical Writer, you will collaborate with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to create user-friendly documentation that enhances the usability and understanding of their products.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand the product and documentation requirements thoroughly.
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets industry standards and is tailored for the intended audience.
• Write clear and concise user interface text, online help, and developer guides.
• Develop tutorials to assist end-users in utilizing various applications.
• Analyze existing and potential content to identify opportunities for reuse and single-sourcing.
• Create and maintain the information architecture for documentation.
Requirements and Skills:
• Proven experience in technical writing, particularly in software documentation.
• Ability to deliver meticulous documentation with a focus on detail.
• Aptitude for comprehending complex technical concepts and presenting them clearly through text and visuals.
• Exceptional written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development processes.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
