Fork Truck Driver

Shift Supervisor
PURPOSE
Supply and remove stock for production machines. Move, stack, lift and remove in process and finished stock.
JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma or GED, or combination of education and experience
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
· Solid computer skills
· Ability to multi-task
· Previous fork truck operation experience
· Ability to sit for 12 hours and to climb up and off fork truck
· Communicate in a courteous and positive manner
· Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment including ear plugs, safety glasses and steel toe shoes
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Promotes safety by leading by example, participating in safety engagement and following all safety guidelines/procedures
· Stock primary and slitter machines and roll wrap with required material and remove processed stock
· Move and dump waste carts from primaries and slitter machines
· Uses computer to prepare slitter specifications and to check inventory
· Performs safety checks and changes LP tanks
· Monitor poly car, switch compartments, log compartment changes (requires climbing)
· Load scrap/junk material
· Regular and reliable attendance
