Job Overview
The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Intuit is responsible for company-wide financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis. As the central planning group for the entire company, Corporate FP&A plays a unique and critical role in driving business decisions and optimizing financial outcomes. Corporate FP&A determines and communicates financial goals and targets to each of Intuit’s business segments, and then consolidates and monitors financial performance against those goals to ensure Intuit is reaching its objectives. The group is also charged with developing presentations to the CEO, the CFO and the Board of Directors regarding company financial performance.
Reporting to a Finance Manager, Corporate FP&A, the Lead Financial Analyst will join a team responsible for the overall financial processes and consolidation of key business results across Intuit. In addition, the Lead Financial Analyst will work on projects to develop strategic data driven insights and partner with key senior leaders to execute our vision of being the “champion of those who dare to dream”.
The Lead Financial analyst role offers significant exposure to leaders and partners across Intuit. The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive self-starter, with a deep understanding of financial theory, proven business acumen, strong analytical and modeling skills and hands-on FP&A experience.
BS in Finance or Economics (MBA/CFA Preferred) or equivalent work experience
5-8+ years relevant experience in a highly dynamic finance role including but not limited to FP&A, Corporate Finance, investment banking, equity research or consulting
Analytical orientation, willingness to pressure test assumptions, creativity in problem solving, and keen business judgment
Well-rounded interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strong relationships and collaborate across multiple stakeholders at varying levels
Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to summarize analytics at a higher level in a simple/digestible manner
Highly motivated self-starter with desire to learn, excel and proactively lead projects.
Ability to simultaneously manage several priorities, successfully manage ambiguity, adapt quickly as situations change and meet deadlines in high-growth environment
Advanced Excel financial modeling skills. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Google Suite
Experience with Hyperion Essbase, Qlikview and other Financial tools
Work with Intuit executives and Finance leaders as a strategic partner to deeply understand long-term business objectives and uncover opportunities to accelerate growth and drive efficiencies
Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial results, including preparing internal and external reporting deliverables and analyzing and explaining trends & drivers
Partner across FP&A to continuously improve processes and tools to drive scale
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Strategy, Business Operations, Accounting and IT, to drive company-wide analyses and insights
Provide analysis, insight and recommendations for ad hoc strategic, financial, analytical and M&A projects as required
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $140,000-189,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
