We have an immediate opening for a Site Supervisor at its Santa Fe Springs, CA Facility.
Reimagine What’s Possible Site Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for the supervision of the Santa Fe Springs air separation plant operating team including one maintenance technician. The function of this role is to provide necessary supervisory, technical and hands on support to continuously improve plant operations, maintenance, mechanical equipment integrity, reliability, costs and on-stream factor. This position reports to the Site Manager.
Required Skills / Abilities Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring safety performance, such as managing injuries and accidents prevention. Recognize and report Near Misses opportunities, handle all injuries in a proactive manner. Air Products has a Basic Safety Process that you will be expected to learn and use for all facets of Safety you will be expected to manage. Standards will also be a key guide for safe and stable plant operations.
- Ensuring Environmental compliance in accordance with Air Products, customer specific and local state regulatory standards.
- Support of all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including troubleshooting plant process problems, actively managing plant maintenance. Position is "on call" to resolve plant issues.
- Ensure completion of daily plant activities including safety requirements, managing PM's, EMOC "Electronic Management of Change" execution, production reporting, etc.
- Working with the regional support resources to achieve productivity targets and drive CI "Continuous Improvements" projects as they are identified.
- Identifying and scheduling maintenance activities as well as developing and implementing corrective / preventive measures with the Regional Maintenance Manage.
- Collaborating with the on-site supplier, business area, EH&S support team and developing a good relationship with Logistics Delivery Center and Product Supply team to assure on-time deliveries for routine operations and during facility outages.
- Provide vacation relief for process.
Qualifications: - At least two years of operations experience in an industrial plant is preferred.
- Veterans are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge in DOT regulations a plus.
- Self-starter with validated leadership abilities.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Strong administrative / computer skills.
- Teammate that is flexible and has a positive attitude.
Education and Licensing Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, but not require High
- School Diploma / GED required.
- Strong manufacturing/production background and experience

Work Hours & Benefits: This position requires to be on site.

The expected pay range for this job varies based on location. In California, the expected pay range is $110,000 - $150,000 plus bonus. These are the ranges we reasonably expect to pay for this position as individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
