Position Summary/Description:

The UNC Weight Research Program conducts research studying behavioral interventions aimed at improving diet quality, increasing physical activity, and achieving and maintaining healthy body weight. Investigators conducting research within the program seek to study interventions aimed at promoting behavior change across the lifespan in diverse populations from young children to adults. Participants are largely drawn from the community at large as identified through social or mass media, but also through existing programs and institutions such as state or federally funded programs or medical systems. Research conducted by the program emphasizes the use of digital tools such as smartphone apps, websites, smart scales, and digital trackers. Investigators in the UNC Weight Research Program are faculty members in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and members of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The primary purpose of this position is to support research studies being conducted by the UNC Weight Research Program. This position will provide support to study staff to ensure that timelines are met, and study protocols are followed. This position will conduct study participant screening, enroll and consent participants, manage logistical data and procedures related to enrollment and randomization, produce reports, and support the study team in monitoring adherence and safety. This position will also contribute to the development of intervention materials and/or the establishment of research protocols.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
