Shift: M-F 8am - 5pm; on-call; may require a flexible work schedule; Assigned work hours may change as the needs of the agency and clients change

POSITION SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:

The MST Therapist is responsible for providing evidence-based intensive family and community-based treatment for at-risk youth with intensive needs and their families. MST intervention is a short-term (three to five months), intensive, and community-based clinical intervention aimed at promoting pro-social behavior and interrupting the child's involvement with the juvenile justice system. MST is non-traditional as services are delivered in the child's community and home instead of in an office setting. MST addresses the core causes of delinquent and antisocial conduct by identifying key drivers of the behaviors through an ecological assessment of the child.

This position works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field from a four-year college or university with minimum of two years of experience working in services for families and/or youth or master's degree in clinical or counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area. Professional licensure as LPC-Associate, LMFT-Associate, or LMSW under clinical supervision, or full licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW preferred.

Experience Required: At least 2 years of experience in the behavioral health field.
