Job description
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial information and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, managing the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, and working with external auditors and tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full cycle accounting processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger and month-end close.
- Create and execute monthly journal entries and ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and various sub-ledgers.
- Prepare detailed and accurate financial reports for senior leadership.
- Lead the implementation of new accounting systems and processes.
- Oversee international accounting matters.
- Manage external auditors, tax professionals, and bank relationships.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA certification highly preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in full cycle accounting.
- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting and auditing principles.
- Experience with NetSuite, bill.com, and Expensify preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
