Ensure that the highest quality of food leaves the kitchen
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen
Assisting with the menu development, standardization, and execution
Proper downsizing and labeling of all products
Adhere to Steam Whistle's service standards and policies
Perform other duties as required by Chef
Follow all Steam Whistle's Health & Safety policies and procedures
Skills and Experience Required:
Preferably 6 months professional cooking experience
Physically fit as long periods of standing, heavy lifting and moving kitchen items
Solid understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette
Team player, collaborative, detail-focused
Strong organizational skills
Proven to perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously
You will be offered various shifts including weekends and evenings, approximately 35 - 40 hours per week (the restaurant closes at 10.00pm). We offer:
