Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) Program Associate will provide programmatic and logistical support and oversight to CTL outreach programs at IMSA and in the field. This will be an energetic, collaborative, and creative individual who will coordinate the IMSA STEMbassadaors student leadership development program through program planning, implementation, and student mentoring and leadership. This individual will plan and assist in managing student programs. This individual will assist in marketing CTL’s Core Programming (IMSA Fusion, Problem Based Learning, Statewide Student Initiatives, Statewide Educator Initiatives, and PROMISE). This individual will support the CTL team to meet objectives, achieve growth, and maintain best practice.
The internationally recognized Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) develops creative, ethical leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. As a teaching and learning laboratory created by the State of Illinois, IMSA enrolls academically talented Illinois students (grades 10–12) in its advanced, residential college preparatory program. It also serves thousands of educators and students in Illinois and beyond through innovative instructional programs that foster imagination and inquiry.

Hours/Shift/Work Schedule: As an exempt employee, the incumbent is expected to work the necessary schedule to successfully complete the requirements of the position; typically, M - F 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M, with some evening and weekend hours.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. This role generally requires mobility, written and verbal communication, hearing and visual capabilities. The role also requires the ability to move and transport program materials weighing up to 40 pounds. However, reasonable accommodations, including assistive technology, may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform such requirements.
COMPENSATION:
This position is a full-time, exempt, 12-month, employment-at-will position. Beginning salary no less than $55,000. As part of the State University Retirement System, the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy offers an excellent comprehensive benefits package including health and retirement benefits. The State Universities Retirement System (SURS) is reciprocal with other Illinois public retirement systems such as the Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois (TRS) and the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
