Job description

We are looking for PASSIONATE, FRIENDLY Market Drivers who love people and plants to add to our team for our Spring 2024 Season!

English Gardens' Market Drivers play a very important role in the success of our stores. To be successful in the position, the candidate should have experience driving a large (26') Cargo truck as well as Hi Lo experience. This fast-paced position begins at approximately 5:00am in Royal Oak, to arrive for early morning pick up at Eastern Market. Products are delivered to various locations throughout Metro Detroit. Driver is responsible for loading and unloading goods. On non-market days, Driver will be expected to carry out other duties at the store, as assigned by the store manager.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills by consistently delivering quality products and acting in a courteous and professional manner. All associates enjoy a generous employee discount and a fun work environment!

Job Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to travel to work location. Must be able to hear voices in interpersonal conversation and telephone conversation. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to maneuver racks and pallet jack, which can weigh up to 500 pounds. Ability to adjust to seasonal temperatures.


Must be 18 years old or older.
Must have an excellent driving record.
Must be able to obtain chauffeurs license and medical card.


This is a seasonal position lasting up to 15 weeks but could potentially lead to a long-term position.
