Job description

The Business Intelligence team exists to achieve two key aims:
+ Empowering our leaders and their teams by improving the visibility and accessibility of key business data to make the best decisions possible, leading to increased efficiencies throughout the organization; and
+ Using data science and analysis to solve some of the more complex problems facing our businesses today & to discover new learnings and insights for us and our industry.
We will do this by listening closely to the wants and needs of our teams; aligning our BI data gathering requirements across our Business Units; improving our reporting and visualization of data; building and supporting a network of experts within regions, factories, and functions; and working closely with the Data Management team and The Vontier Data Analytics Hub.
The business analyst thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate business information to multiple stakeholders including senior management. You will have the opportunity to take the lead in a range of process developments and reporting improvements. Initially focused on GSO , you will work closely with the business teams, the finance function and IT to enable accurate reporting, aligning various supporting metrics and KPIs to inform management. In addition, you will provide continuous improvements to reporting environments, visual data representations, and insight creations using technical tools that supports our internal customer’s needs. You will drive data simplification and automation projects from origination to implementation and be involved in a wide variety of projects as we seek to evolve our data strategy. WHO YOU ARE
+ Minimum of two years working with financial concepts
+ Required: Proficient in Snowflake, SQL & Python
+ A strong analyst with experience in Business Intelligence concepts, including sourcing, integration, modeling, reporting, and visualization
+ Preferred: Two years experience working within Microsoft Dynamics AX, collecting and organizing data
+ Experience of working with data visualization tools, Power BI & Tableau
+ Ability to translate technical results/terminology into plain business terms for customers to understand
+ Willing to work primarily EST hours but be flexible with Global partners on occasion

The base compensation range for this position is $77K to $90K per year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
