About the Role:
Aquila is seeking a Data Migration Engineer to to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The Data Migration Specialist will play a crucial role in the successful execution of data migration projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, a deep understanding of data migration best practices, and hands-on experience with a variety of migration tools and technologies.
There are a few requirements for the position: - Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Reside within 100 miles of Lexington, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data migration strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Assess and analyze source data to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential challenges in the migration process.
- Utilize data migration tools and technologies to execute seamless and efficient data and file transfers while ensuring data integrity and security.
- Develop and implement strategies for mapping and transforming data to meet target system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and verify migrated data, addressing any discrepancies or errors promptly.
- Document and maintain comprehensive records of data migration activities, processes, and outcomes.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5 years of Analyze Model and Measurement Data
- 5 years of Data Analysis
- 5 years of Databases, schemas, and SQL
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of Understands and Executes Project Requirements
- 5 years of C/C++, Java, Python, Bash, SQL, JavaScript / HTML / CSS, Matlab
- Excellent Problem Solving
- 3 years of Computer-aided design Software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- 3 years of Experience with and/or managing the PDM and PLM within an engineering environment
Working Knowledge of the Following:
- Experience with implementing and deploying Linux and MS-Windows server systems
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and mapping.
- Experience with Perl, PowerShell, C#, Javascript, SQL and SQL server.
- Knowledge of CAD, PLM, and PDM configuration management; SolidWorks/SolidWorks PDM preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- An understanding of data protection issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
And These Skills are a Bonus:
- Experience with ARAS Innovator, Innovator Batchloader, Aras Markup Language (AML), and a thorough understanding of enterprise application deployment methodologies.

Location: Lexington, MA
Work Schedule: Hybrid - Candidate should be onsite 1 day/week on Wednesday specifically for team meetings. Must be within a commutable distance from Lexington, MA.
Clearance: Interim clearance is sufficient to start
