Job Title: Rendering Superintendent
Location: Green Bay, WI
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage the flow of product through the Rendering Department
- Ensure acceptable results and yields of products being produced
- Monitor all supervisors to ensure each area is running at maximum productivity and efficiency
- Ensures proper compliance of plant safety rules and regulations
- Assure all machinery is maintained properly and in safe operating condition through preventative maintenance
- Communicate with corporate and other regional plants reporting opportunities, yields, and suggestions on improvements
- Communicate with plant personnel on various issues and relay these issues to all necessary employees in the rendering department
- Act as a liaison between plant management and rendering employees
- Ensure adequate transportation is on hand to distribute products
- Communicate with lab areas on the quality of rendering products
- Order all maintenance parts when necessary
- Directly responsible for training all new supervisors and lead men
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the meat industry
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in rendering area and working with rendering equipment or in depth knowledge and experience in maintenance at a beef processing plant
- Lab and waste-water experience preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities Required:
- General mechanical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Proficiency in multiple languages preferred but not required
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
