Spacecraft Systems Engineer Junior
This system engineering and integration position within the Battle Management Command and Control (BMC3) Mission Operations team provides process development, integration, and testing of product. BMC3 with cutting edge technology requires engineering solutions for technical problems of varying scope and complexity. The SAIC Mission Operations Management team will train you through an extensive education and certification program to utilize your current engineering skills in support of an important customer mission.
The candidate will be responsible for performing specific technical tasks: coding mission plans in C++ and test hardware-software-in-the-loop at our BMC3 Test Lab facility (BATL). The candidate will perform system integration, verification and validation of applications, risk analysis, technical planning, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. The candidate will participate in engineering review boards, requirements review and definition, schedule updates, Concept of Operations review and hands-on integration.
Working at the SAIC facility directly under the customer for sandbox development and validation requires exceptional communication and the ability to work a variety of efforts in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. The position requires an effective and accurate exchange of information across a multi-location enterprise, with customer visibility into the team's actions and responses. You will work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-contractor team and demonstrate initiative, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
· Must have BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering
· Must have minimum of two years of experience.
· Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
· Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance.
· Demonstrated experience in software development project, school, work or hobby.
· Experience and knowledge of development using C#, Oracle/SQL HTML, or XML.
