The Research & Development Program will consist of a robust induction plan followed by three 12-month rotations across various facets of our Research & Development organization including design, research, product support, project management or adjacency such as Quality or Manufacturing. The Research & Development Program (P1) position will rotate across several Global R&D and adjacent teams to develop competencies in key focus areas. Specific responsibilities will vary depending on current rotation but will include a subset of product engineering activities required for design of new products, support of changes to existing designs, testing and analysis to verify safety, coordination of project team activities, and understanding of adjacent quality or manufacturing responsibilities. Participants in this Program will each have a mentor focused on their technical skills, professional development, and career growth.
What will you be doing?
Works independently under limited supervision
Provides R&D engineering support for design activities on New Product Development programs; e.g: drafting of requirements, driving traceability of requirements, software development, electrical engineering development, test stand development, feasibility testing, drafting/executing verification protocols,
Provides R&D engineering support on existing products to identify and mitigate any impact to design integrity from process changes or supplier/network moves
Prepares and updates Project Schedules and coordinates team activities to deliver new product development milestones
Prepares Quality deliverables in support of New Product Development and the device Design History File
What will you need to be successful?
Education:
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate or Master’s Engineering program in Mechanical, Computer, Software, Electrical, Biomedical or related Engineering field required. This position is for students who have graduated in December of 2023, or have an anticipated graduation of May 2024 preferred
Previous leadership experience preferred
Major GPA of 3.3 or above preferred
Experience:
0 - 1 years
Internship/Co-op related experience preferred
Ability to think independently to provide novel solutions to complex problems
High learning agility with a strong desire to learn new topics
Strong written and verbal communication and technical writing skills
Analytical approach to problem solving
Experience with programming a plus (Matlab, LabVIEW, Python)
Experience with software development a plus (C, C++, Android, iOS)
Program Completion: Upon the successful completion of the Graduate Development Program, each participant will be required to report out their program objective to the R&D Leadership team. The deliverables of this presentation will be completed with the program managers/mentors.
