Responsibilities:
- Preparing proteins, seafood items, and relevant recipes related to protein preparation
- Proper and hygienic fabrication of proteins and seafood
- Appropriate storage and care of all proteins and seafood
- Follow instructions provided by the Chef Team
- Ensure that food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
- Maintain inventory of all proteins in-house and supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to properly prepare protein and menu items
- Setting up and stocking the kitchen with all necessary supplies
- Assisting prep and line cooks in service as needed
- Producing menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team
- Keeping station clean, organized, and efficient
- Rotating inventory correctly
- Ensuring that all nutrition and sanitation standards are followed
- Monitoring and reporting inventory needs to the Sous Chef
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Certificate in Culinary Arts or related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant practices and cooking methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently as part of a team
- Extensive experience working in busy restaurant environments
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in a cook position
- Fine Dining experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Motivated and self-directed
- Pride in service and a constant desire to grow within the craft
- Excellent time management
- A proactive and positive attitude
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekend availability

Physical Aspects of the Butcher Role:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
