Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Coordinator to join our MEP engineering firm. Do you consider yourself a BIM Guru? The BIM Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the design team by utilizing their expertise in Revit and AutoCAD to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MEP systems and will be responsible for coordinating and troubleshooting BIM models, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the seamless integration of BIM processes.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the design team to develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Assist in the creation and management of project-specific BIM standards, templates, and libraries to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Act as a point of contact for design teams, providing guidance and support on BIM-related issues and challenges.
- Identify and resolve clashes, conflicts, and discrepancies within BIM models to ensure smooth coordination between various disciplines.
- Participate in coordination meetings to address design conflicts and propose solutions, actively contributing to the resolution of design issues.
- Review design documentation, drawings, and specifications to verify accuracy and adherence to BIM standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to BIM, MEP systems, and software tools.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of BIM workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications (preferred):- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role in an MEP engineering or architectural firm
- Proficiency in using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for creating, coordinating, and managing BIM models.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design conflicts and discrepancies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
