Job description
Lark Hotels is seeking both full-time and part-time Guest Experience Associates at our location in Newbury, MA, Blue - Inn on the Beach. Guest Experience Associates are responsible for guest interaction with in-house guests, answering phone calls, and prepping breakfast. Guest Experience Associates demonstrate exceptional hospitality in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner going above and beyond to ensure that guest experiences will be worth remembering. The key service roles begin with greeting guests and end in delivering a departure experience that makes a guest want to be a return customer.
This position requires an outgoing, enthusiastic personality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work without constant direct supervision. Basic cooking/baking knowledge is preferred. If you love interacting with people in a positive work environment, apply now!
Responsibilities:
- Welcome, register, check-in, and check out guests staying at the hotel, provide keys and room numbers, and record credit card information
- Mitigate customer complaints as needed
- Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests’ needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs
- Connect with the housekeeping department to ensure guest accommodations are ready
- Bookkeeping: keep accurate records of all hotel guest account information
- Deliver breakfast to rooms each morning and prepare breakfast for the next morning
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred
- Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be comfortable with food prep. Experience in working with food is not needed, but a big plus
- Working knowledge of Google Docs and hotel reservation systems preferred
- Enjoy meeting new people and making them feel welcome
