Hiring 2 P.E.s in Tampa, Orlando, or Jacksonville, FL (P.E. REQUIRED)
The Project Manager (PE/AICP) is responsible for managing a variety of transportation and traffic engineering projects at various stages, sizes and levels of complexity. This position requires expert knowledge of transportation and traffic engineering principles and the ability to lead a team of junior engineers and technicians to the successful delivery of transportation and traffic engineering projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform as a project manager and technical expert on traffic planning, engineering, safety, and traffic-related design projects
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians
- Responsible for the management of project tasks and schedule
- Prepare, review, and seal a variety of transportation engineering reports and design plans
- Serve as a liaison between clients and external stakeholders to ensure clear understanding
- related to project needs and requirements
- Review project concepts, and determine/identify issues and objectives.
- Perform Quality Assurance / Quality Control Reviews for a variety of transportation engineering and design projects
- Active engagement in identifying and preparing project pursuit opportunities
- Develop new client relationships and maintain existing client relationships
- Represent the company by attending public/private client meetings and professional events
Qualifications/License
- BSCE/MSCE in Transportation
- 12+ years of project management experience
- PE (Professional Engineer) Required
- Experience stamping drawings
Technical Skills
- Advanced level proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advanced level proficiency with SYNCHRO, CUBE Voyager, FSUTMS
- Advanced level proficiency with Corel
- Basic level proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Proficient in working with project management software (PWF)
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of the principles and practices of traffic engineering and applicable
- MUTCD, AASHTO, ITE, and FDOT requirements, policies, manuals and procedures
- Experience working with both private and public sector clients
- Extensive project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Ability to lead a team of engineers and technicians
