St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center expanded its services in the west valley with two Urgency Centers located in Litchfield and Glendale. The centers will serve our community with a free standing Emergency Department along with an Urgent Care. With a vision of “Partnering with patients physicians employees and communities to improve the health of all we serve”; the Urgency Centers focus is on meeting today’s changing healthcare needs while being in convenient locations to our customers.
No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts foley catheter insertions or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.
To thrive as an ER nurse you should exhibit teamwork professionalism critical thinking skills and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives. More than anything you should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients maintaining their dignity at every step.
Responsibilities:
Minimum:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
AZ RN license
American Heart Association BLS certification
American Heart Association ACLS certification
American Heart Association PALS
Preferred:
BSN
Professional certification in area of specialty
One year recent acute care experience
