Technical Specialist - Point of CareDay Shift, Full TimeCompetitive Salary/ Comprehensive Benefits*Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available*MLee Healthcare has been engaged by a leading healthcare system in New York that is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Specialist to join their dynamic Laboratory team.Qualifications: Must be qualified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in accordance with New York State Department. NYS SED Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Minimum 6 years' experience in standard laboratory methodologies (required). Minimum 1 year as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist IV (preferred). Minimum 2 years as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist III (preferred). Responsibilities: Conduct and oversee complex laboratory analyses and procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols. Serve as a subject matter expert in laboratory instrumentation, methodologies, and troubleshooting. Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to uphold the highest standards in laboratory testing. Collaborate with the quality team to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs). Manage and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring they are calibrated, validated, and in optimal working condition. Troubleshoot technical issues related to laboratory equipment and coordinate necessary repairs. Provide training to laboratory staff on new technologies, methodologies, and best practices. Facilitate continuous education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the laboratory team. Work closely with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services into patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to contribute technical insights and recommendations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of laboratory processes, procedures, and results.
