Sr. Research Associate, Children’s Research Institute

Job Summary

The McBrayer Lab is seeking a Senior Research Associate to work in tandem with a postdoctoral fellow to test the molecular basis and therapeutic efficacy of a new brain tumor treatment strategy developed by the McBrayer lab in Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Additionally, the senior research associate would oversee a portion of the managerial activities for our laboratory. Collectively, about two thirds of the senior research associate’s time will be devoted to research and one third to lab management.

A successful candidate will be organized, an effective communicator, display strong attention to detail, and have experience working with both cell and mouse models of disease. Ideal candidates should have a background in biochemistry, biology, molecular biology or neuroscience. Our laboratory offers a supportive environment for trainees and staff at all levels of experience as well as opportunities for career advancement.
