Above all, we are committed to our clients’ success in making transportation better for future generations.    We are seeking a collaborative, organized, and proactive individual with experience managing conference strategy and planning for trade shows, booths, happy hours, receptions, and webinars, to join our Marketing & Communications team. Ideally, this individual will be personable, energetic, self-motivated, professional, detail- and results-oriented, and a team player with a growth mindset. The Senior Event Marketing Specialist reports to the Marketing Communication manager and will manage strategic lead-generating events, focusing on positioning Cambridge Systematics as a thought leader in the industry. The Senior Event Marketing Specialist will be a seasoned event professional who oversees the planning and execution of national and regional events and builds strong relationships with strategic partners, driving deals for Cambridge Systematics through event marketing. This individual will be data-driven and understand how to improve our ability to measure success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Marketing Event Strategy and Execution (65%)  ● Leads planning and execution of TRB Annual Meeting and other conferences, managing a variety of programs within these events.  ● Collaborates with Marketing, Business Development, and Leadership Teams to identify and execute on strategic event opportunities.  ● Builds brand awareness through regional and national conferences and events (both virtual and in-person).  ● Manages Event Roadmap and organizational partnerships for each business line and practice area, keeping leaders apprised of current activity.  Organization/Coordination (25%)  ● Proactively researches and communicates deadlines for conference proposals and abstracts, managing a library of abstracts for the organization.  ● Oversees logistics and communications for virtual and in-person events. ● Tracks leads and opportunities from events, managing attribution reports to demonstrate ROI wherever possible. ● Manages Marketing event schedule and budget to ensure that all major events are documented and communicated to internal teams and stakeholders.  Process Improvement (10%)  ● Develops and updates internal event processes to increase efficiency of Event Marketing programs.  ● Serves as the primary liaison between business development and Marketing, communicating feedback into Marketing to ensure stakeholders are getting what they need.  Position Requirements  ● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.  ● 5+ years of Events or Field Marketing experience.  ● Must be willing to travel to oversee several key events in person (up to 5-10% travel time). ● Experience managing multiple events: reliable and accountable for producing high-quality work while meeting deadlines. ● Experience with high-volume events with varying audience sizes.  ● Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. *this position is open to remote work, with the requirement to work EST hours*  Salary: $90,000-$100,000 annually Candidates should be aware that Cambridge Systematics currently maintains a policy requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
