Job description

Job Summary:

As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will plan , conduct, and direct development and/or research work on complex projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches.  You will plans and direct projects and supplies technical inspiration, leadership and consultation to professional co-workers.  May represent the organization in outside discussions and technical forum.  Generally, works with wide latitude for not previewed action or decisions.  Reviews plans and specifications for foundations, underground distribution systems (electric, water, waste, and others).  Assists in the identification of system leaks and repairs.  Prepare RFPs and drawings.

Envisions an inspiring future direction.  Articulates a compelling business case for change.

Provides appropriate direction, resources, and environment needed for success.  Translates strategy into specific priorities, objectives, and action plans.  Pursues excellence with integrity, passion, and courage.  Creates an environment that encourages creative thinking and supports risk taking.

Establishes critical external alliances.  Obtains full engagement through inspiring communications.

You will report to the Manager Utilities and Sustaining Engineering.

The hiring range for this position in location is $134,972.00 - $181,060.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
