About the Team:
The Technology Procurement Team is a dynamic and skilled group of professionals dedicated to managing all strategic and operational aspects of Technology procurement including category management of Hardware, Software, Cloud, Telecom and Professional Services for all of Walmart. Committed to driving efficiency, innovation, and cost-effectiveness, this team plays a crucial role in ensuring that our technology investments align with business objectives while maximizing value. The Technology procurement team manages a global spend of ~$6.0B+.
About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic individual to join our dynamic organization as the Manager of Tech Labor Professional Services Procurement. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in executing our Tech Labor procurement strategy, fostering strong stakeholder alignment, optimizing costs, and ensuring that our technology investments align with our business objectives. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Tech Labor Professional Services landscape, a proven track record in negotiating complex contracts, and the ability to drive efficiency and innovation in our Tech Labor procurement processes.
Responsibilities include:
Spearhead initiatives to optimize tech labor-related expenses, redirecting resources towards high-impact projects and strategic initiatives.
Implement cost-effective procurement practices that contribute to bottom-line savings while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Analyze and optimize tech labor agreements to reduce overall costs and maximize value.
Develop and implement a comprehensive tech labor procurement strategy aligned with the organization's business goals.
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance organizational capabilities and competitiveness.
Improve cross-functional collaboration by facilitating communication between IT, legal, finance, and business units.
Implement transparent processes that enhance visibility into tech labor procurement decisions and their impact on various departments.
Continuously evaluate and improve tech labor procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.
Assess and mitigate risks associated with tech labor procurement, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, IT, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Proven experience in a tech labor professional services procurement role, demonstrating a successful track record in strategic planning and execution.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing complex contracts.
In-depth knowledge of the professional services industry and emerging technologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
