Job description
If you are a Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) with Federal Construction experience, please read on!
In this role, you will be a lead field safety representative for design-build civil infrastructure projects across the Southwest. You will be a key member of our growing Federal Services Division specializing in projects for the following: USACE, NAVFAC, DoD etc. Candidates must possess EM 385-1-1 40 hour cert for serious consideration. - Inspecting the site to ensure it is a hazard-free work environment
- Arranging for OSHA mandated evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultants
- Verifying that injury logs and reports are completed
- Training/carrying out drills on how to manage emergency situations
- Responding to orders issued by Department of Labor inspectors
- Serving as the link between state and local agencies and contractors
- If necessary, coordinating registration and removal of hazardous waste
More than 5 years of relevant SSHO experience and:
- EM 385-1-1 40 hour cert- Salary 95-145k (based on experience)
