Responsibilities - Supports management and leadership
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- EMR (Electronic Medical Record) data entry
- Obtaining vital signs on each patient
- Assist physician with gathering patient history
- Ensures patients are prepared for their planned procedures including proper education, follow-up plans and post procedure instructions
- Draft preliminary reports and letters for the physician through the EMR system
- Present reports and letters to physician for revision and final approval
- Greet patients and escort them to the exam rooms
- Fit and measure patients for compression stockings
- Take before and after pictures of patients
- Assist with the preparation of medications and filling syringes, as permitted by state law
- Ensure that rooms are stocked accordingly
- Assist the Ultrasound Tech with the ordering of all medical supplies
- Clean and prepare rooms
- Assist with room and tray set up for patient procedures
- Prepare and maintain charts for new and existing patients. Verify that all information is correct and up to date
- General administrative duties as directed by Office Manager
- Confirm insurance benefits as noted on patient chart
- Demonstrating knowledge of scheduling
- Strong organization with attention to detail
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
