Robotic Welding Programmer

Job description
The Robotic Welding Programmer is responsible for the operation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the welding robot for all phases in production. The Robotic Welding Programmer also has the responsibility to program welding robots for any new product development.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Program and troubleshoot robotic welders and provide training for operators to fit, tack, and weld.
- Develop and enter programs into the robotic welder.
- Set up all jobs according to blueprint specifications and tolerances.
- Able to identify appropriate weld processes and perform TIG and MIG welding with quality and efficiency to meet standards and production schedule.
- Knowledge of robot basics and general TIG and MIG welding maintenance.
- Using MAS 500 to log in/out of each job.
- Provide support in developing and improving welding processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred to have minimum 2 years' experience as a robotic welding programmer.
- Minimum of one (1) year or related TIG & MIG welding and sheet metal experience.
- Writing procedures, reading, and interpreting drawings and standards a plus.
- Technical or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
- Vision abilities requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth
- Required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.
- May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
