This position will be in charge of Teen Programming.  Teen Librarian experience and SirsiDynix experience preferred.

Manage a Library division: Adult and Circulation, Collection and Technical Services or Youth Services including the supervision of assigned staff, collections and programs. Active member of Library Management Team in managing and performing technical, reference and advisory services, collection development and program planning within their expertise as well as across all levels of Library work.

Specialized Duties and Responsibilities
Individual Library Supervisors oversee an area of expertise for the Library:

Fiscal Responsibilities:   Prepares and recommends budgetary needs for their division for submission to Library Director. Has authority to release funds and make purchases up to a spending limit as approved by supervisor. May supervise positions with fee collection responsibilities. Accepts, receipts and records fees. Balances cash drawers.

Supervisory Relationships:   Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific department/division or operational functional area. Day to day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. Strategic issues are referred to supervisor. Supervises employees assigned to area of management. May serve as Supervisor in Charge in the absence of Library Director and Assistant Library Director.

Work Environment:   Work is performed in an indoor office setting; and moves between sedentary work and mobility and light physical activity. High degree of public contact. Level of responsibility subjects the incumbent to moderate stress due to interruptions, significant deadlines and supervision of others.

Physical and Mental Requirements/Activities:

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education and Certification: Master of Library Science/Information Science degree from an American Library Association accredited college or university.

Minimum Experience:  Four (4) years of increasingly responsible professional library experience with supervisory experience.
