Responsibilities:
1. Weekly monitoring of the New Bedford and Brockton Adolescent Emergency Residence Programs for integrity to MAP protocols and standards.
2. Posting or verifying all incoming prescriptions for emergency residence clients
3. The facilitation of monthly MAP training classes, as needed, for the accreditation of our program staff.
4. Function as the liaison between program and the DCF MAP Regional Nurse Monitor.
5. Facilitation and preparation of the Emergency Residence Programs for yearly MAP audit.
6. Review of medications orders for new intakes or when medication is added or adjusted for current youth served.
7. Completion of medication count sheets in preparation for Dr. Merritt psychiatric clinics once every three weeks for New Bedford youth.
8. Review of countable substance books as well as full med count once per week as mandated by MAP
9. Review of all medication incidents and documentation submission for any medication incidents
10. Complete all mandated MAP trainings and stay up to date on all MAP policies to maintain MAP Trainer status
Requirements - Certificate of Malpractice Insurance
- Requires current Registered Nurse license in MA
- Certified as MAP Trainer through DPH Approved Train the Trainer program for 1 or more years
