Job description

Babies Etc Ob/Gyn in Madison, AL is looking for one experienced certified medical assistant (CMA) to join our 10-person strong team. We are located at 235 Portal Ln. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications
• Collecting a patient’s medical history
• Preparing the patient for their examination
• Measuring vital signs, like temperature and blood pressure (manual & electronic)
• Assisting the gynecologist, obstetrician or nurse practitioner during appointments
• Explaining to the patient what will happen during their exam, treatment, or procedure
• Performing laboratory tests like sample collections, or finger pricks
• Providing information to the patient about their medications, special diets, or anything else they’ve been prescribed
• Scheduling appointments
• Answering emails and phone calls
• Welcoming patients at the front desk
• Coordinate laboratory services, hospital admissions, and insurance information
• Updating Pt charts which includes scanning and inputting data
• Clean all rooms and instruments used on a daily basis
• Utilizing computer programs to update medical records and handle billing and bookkeeping
• Do weekly stocking of rooms and inventory checks
• Assist with anything else that is assigned to you.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification
• Experience as a Medical Assistant both Clinical & Administrative
