Job Title: Program Manager
Location: On-site in Warren, MI
Salary: $90-$120k DOE
Requirements: At least 3+ years of automotive program management or product development experience
We are a global automotive supplier of pump, valvetrain, transmission and electric drive components and systems. Due to company growth, we are adding a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to our brand new team. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with direct experience in APQP, PPAP, and an understanding of the entire product life cycle.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing the overall product development activities for complex programs. You will ensure that all objectives are achieved through the product life cycle.
- Initiate, plan, implement, and close programs to deliver program scope within established targets for budget, quality, timing to market, and product performance
- Lead the APQP gate review process
- Control, track and report program status relative to the timing plan, project financials, and APQP phase review tasks
- Develop project timing plan and maintain throughout product life cycle
- Develop/implement recovery plans for off-schedule instances
- Lead team meetings
- Primary customer contact
- Identify risks and opportunities
- Evaluate and develop risk mitigation plans and action plans to realize opportunities
- Provide input to sales team for new business quotes
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years' of Automotive program management or product development experience
- APQP, PPAP, Automotive Quality Systems experience
- Continuous Improvement experience (Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Principles, VSM)
- Familiar with Fishbone Diagrams, Ishikawa Diagrams, 8D, Is/Is Not, 5 Why
- Ability to lead/mentor more junior members of the team
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Project software
- Proven problem solving and analytical abilities
