Overview
As our Surgical Tech at Chandler Regional Medical Center (CRMC) , now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you.
The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.
CRMC includes a Level I Trauma Center a Heart and Vascular Center a Wound Healing Center a Family Birth Center and many additional services. As a result of Dignity Health’s mission to deliver health care and partner with the community nearly 100000 people in the East Valley were reached through community health services.
ResponsibilitiesThe Surgery Dept at Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. Our new tower has provided additional surgery suites with the latest technology providing a wide range of patient surgical/procedural experience.
The Surgical Tech assists physicians and nurses during surgical procedures and in preparation for surgery in order to deliver safe competent care to our patients. Responsible for maintaining the sterile field being constantly vigilant that the scrubbed members of the team adhere to aseptic/sterile technique. Assembles and processes sterile instrument trays and equipment. Expedites the operative procedure by anticipating the needs of the Surgeon. Provides procedural circulating support. Performs instrument sponge and equipment counts. Identifies and responds to advanced clinical issues as well as serves as a resource to other staff.

QualificationsMinimum:
Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia course I.V. Certification Arterial line certification Auto transfusion training and certification.
Five years experience in the Operating Room setting as an Anesthesia Technician
High school diploma or GED
Current ACLS through American Heart Association
Current BLS through American Heart Association
Basic computer skills
ASATT certification
