Job description
Support the Office of Human Resources and the Executive Director of Human Resources with Training, Applicant Tracking, Employment, and Salary Plan administration.
Essential Functions: Coordinate and advertise job openings, using various resources, such as College’s website, social media or professional associations.
Screen employment applications for compliance with minimum qualifications
Coordinate application process (including interviews, selection, job offer letters, pre-employment screenings)
Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft accurate position postings and consistent hiring criteria.
Coordinate, implement and track completion of employee training and professional development programs.
Assist hiring managers in preparing position descriptions and position analysis questionnaires in a standardized manner.
Assist with evaluation and classification of positions according to the college salary plan.
Assist in computing salary recommendations for reclassifications, promotions, and new hires according to the college salary plan.]
Coordinate temporary employment process including postings, requisitions, and contracts.
Reconcile employee leave balances between Banner, timesheets, and leave slips.
Communicate Human Resources/organizational announcements via internal communication methods.
Supplemental Functions: Serve as backup to Human Resources Benefits Coordinator regarding maintaining employment records in Banner.
Collaborate with the Office of Communications for user-friendly web pages that provide succinct overview of HR services, personnel, and contact information. Maintain a schedule of continuous review of pages for accuracy; submit needed website changes to the Office of Communications and follow-up for timeliness and accuracy. As appropriate, coordinate needed changes with other departments.

Education, Training and Experience Required: High School Diploma
and six years related experience
OR
Associates Degree (in Human Resources, Business or related field)
and 3 years related experience
OR
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or Related field
Experience using Microsoft Windows applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience using Adobe Sign, DocuSign, or similar workflow/eSignature programs
Knowledge of or experience with online application systems such as PageUp, PeopleAdmin, Cornerstone, etc.
Prefer knowledge of or experience with Automated HR and Payroll Systems such as Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.
Prefer knowledge of or experience with Argos reporting software (or similar system)
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics:
Knowledge of state and federal laws and guidelines relating to employment and classification and compensation.
Excellent planning and organizational skills and experience.
Strong human relations skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Ability to relate to a diverse student population, faculty and staff.
Working Conditions: Normal standing, sitting and walking
Extensive use of personal computer
Hiring Salary Range: $38,720 - $46,450
This position is based at the Columbia, TN Campus.
