- Board Certification in ABMS Specialty and Board certified or Board eligible in Sleep Medicine
- Demonstrated Competence in providing Sleep Health Services as delineated on Clinical Privilege List to adult patients.

- Position Objective
- Provide general and specialized non-surgical Sleep Health services to APD patients, and provide substantive inputs to enhance program growth and development.
- Performance Expectation
- Personally evaluate, or, personally supervise an allied health practitioner's evaluation of, all patients presenting to the Sleep Health Clinic.
- Obtain an appropriate history and physical exam.
- Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and imaging studies.
- Appropriately order and interpret both in-home and laboratory Sleep Studies.
- Provide appropriate treatment to all patients presenting to the Sleep Health Clinic who request that treatment be provided.
- Provide consultative and/or second opinion services as requested.
- Obtain consultation as clinically indicated and appropriate.
- Document the history, physical exam, laboratory, imaging, in-lab overnight polysomnography testing and home sleep apnea testing (ie: sleep studies) as well as treatment in the medical record.
- Obtain appropriate informed consent for all procedures as described in APD Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and Policies.
- Complete and sign documentation of encounter in Greenway Electronic Health Record within 48 hours of patient encounter.
- Complete all inpatient and outpatient hospital records within 30 days of day of service.
- Communicate with referring practitioners and Primary Care Providers in a timely and collegial manner. Providers who request consultation must receive a written report.
- Accurately code all encounters.
- Review previously ordered laboratory, imaging and sleep studies and determine appropriate course of treatment for patient based on results. Communicate results to patients in a timely manner.
- Document all "after-hours" communication with patients.
- Treat all patients and staff with respect.
- Participate in staff education and clinical Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities.
- Attend clinic staff meetings when requested to do so by Practice Director.
- Abide by CMS Conditions of Participation for Hospitals
- Abide by the APD Medical Staff bylaws, Rules and Regulations and policies.
- Participate in APD Medical Staff Professional Practice Evaluation Program.
- Attend APD Medical Staff General Meetings
- Attend APD Medical Staff Department of Surgery Meetings
- Abide by all APD policies.
