Job description
The MDM Data Steward oversees end-to-end data stewardship for Customer, Supplier, and Cook Companies master data globally. Responsible for enforcing policies, they ensure quality, accuracy, and security in MDM Hub(s) and integration. Collaborating with data producers and consumers, they uphold Data Governance policies. While not owning the data, they represent cross-functional data owners' interests, ensuring sustainable data quality through root cause analysis, monitoring, remediation, and implementing quality controls. This role has added responsibilities as beginner Quality/Data Analysis and project management.
**This role is a hybrid position. Candidate must reside within 2 hours via car of the Cook Medical location and is required to work onsite as needed per Manager expectations.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Data Quality Management: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of Customer, Supplier, and Cook Companies master data by implementing data quality rules, standards, and policies. Identify and resolve data quality issues and anomalies.
- Data Governance: Understand and Enforce data governance policies and procedures related to Customer, Supplier, and Cook Companies master data. Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure compliance with data standards and regulations.
- Data Custodianship: Take ownership of specific data domains (e.g., customer data, Supplier and Cook Group of Companies) and maintain a deep understanding of the data within those domains.
- Data Profiling: Work with Data Quality Analyst to analyze Customer, Supplier, and Cook Companies master data to identify data patterns, anomalies, and potential issues. Use data profiling tools to assess data quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Data Documentation: Maintain & update comprehensive documentation of Customer, Supplier, and Cook Companies master data processes and business and data quality rules. Ensure that data documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Data Cleansing: Perform data cleansing activities in CDM for Customer, Supplier, and Cook Companies, such as standardization, deduplication, and validation, to eliminate data inconsistencies and redundancies.
- Data Change Management: Manage the process of requesting, reviewing, and approving changes to Customer, Supplier, and Cook Companies master data. Ensure that changes are made in accordance with established data governance processes.
- Data Security: Implement data security measures to protect sensitive master data from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Data Training and Communication: Educate and train data users and stakeholders on the importance of Customer, Supplier, and Cook Companies master data management and data governance. Communicate changes and updates related to master data policies and procedures.
- Issue Resolution: Address data-related issues and discrepancies promptly. Collaborate with business users and data owners to resolve data-related problems and ensure data accuracy.
- Data Monitoring and Reporting: Implement monitoring mechanisms to track the quality and performance of master data over time. Generate and distribute reports and dashboards that provide insights into data quality and compliance.
- Data Auditing and Compliance: Conduct data audits to ensure compliance with data governance policies, industry regulations, and data quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, data architects, and business stakeholders, to align master data management initiatives with business objectives.
- Multi-Role: has added responsibilities as beginner Quality/Data Analysis and project management.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of master data management practices.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science).
- Proven experience as a Data Steward or similar role, with expertise in data management and data governance.
- Mandatory proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud CDM is a prerequisite.
- Essential proficiency as a Data Steward in Customer MDM and Supplier MDM is a mandatory requirement.

Physical Requirements:
• Works under general office environment conditions
• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.

• Requires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferences
• International and domestic travel as required
