POSITION SUMMARY

The Paralegal will assist the in-house counsel in civil procedure, preparing and organizing various legal documents for upcoming cases and trials. Their main duties include preparing affidavits, discovery and correspondence. Also, discussing case details with attorneys and clients and organizing different files for different legal proceedings, and filing court documents from beginning to end.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the in-house counsel in all aspects of drafting, reviewing and amending a wide variety of legal documents
  2. Work and collaborate closely with other teams in the company
  3. Provide administrative support to company's in-house legal counsel
  4. Support various ongoing or special legal projects
  5. Perform legal research as needed
  6. Assist in responding to legal discovery requests from outside counsel
  7. Assist the in-house counsel in the implementation and management of compliance, regulatory and legal practices
  8. Assist with filings, amendments, and other paperwork needed by regulatory bodies
  9. Manage and organize informational documents including contracts, legal reviews, and confidential inter- department files
  10. Act as point of contact for departmental tracking of legal documents, updates, and more

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  2. At least three (3) years of experience working for a litigation law firm, in-house litigation department or similar
  3. Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required
  4. Expertise in civil procedure
  5. Organization of complex cases and projects
  6. Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00*

*The salary range is the one that Beecan Health reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual salary will depend on several factors (e.g., experience, educations, qualifications, etc.).
