Calibration Engineer
Duration: Direct hire
Location: San Antonio, TX (Relocation available)
Salary: $105,000 + / - 20K depending on experience
Travel: 5%
Kelly Engineering is currently recruiting for a Calibration Engineer role located in San Antonio, TX - for a global provider of innovative, state-of-the-art integrated controls solutions for internal combustion engines and electric drive systems in the off-highway, on-highway, and stationary equipment markets.
The Ideal candidate will have: 3-5 years of engine calibration experience and a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
Responsibilities
Understand and apply engine operating fundamentals, engine management strategies, and calibration techniques
Complete solid engine and application calibrations in a timely manner, meeting the customer performance targets
Test new and existing engine products, as required, validating suitability for use in customer applications
Provide technical support to our customers on all aspects of their application as it relates to our products and calibration
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
Previous exposure to engine calibration/testing/development.
Working knowledge of PC-based presentation, spreadsheet, & word processing software.
Basic understanding in following engineering disciplines; electrical, software, & mechanical.
Basic understanding of equations governing hydraulics/pneumatics, rotational/linear mechanical dynamics, thermodynamics, electrical circuits, and compressible flow.
Basic understanding of engine control systems, sensors, laboratory test equipment, and calibration techniques.
