Camp Bow Wow® is Pittsburgh’s premier pet care service providing a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention. The marketing professional aka ‘Scout’ holds a key role within our Camp, helping spread the word about our brand and helping to build our business. The Scout supports Camp Bow Wow growth by bringing in new Campers and engaging existing clients with the brand.

Skills:

• A people person, comfortable in a sales environment
• Ability to create promotions that attract customers: grassroots techniques to marketing strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication - face-to-face as well as via social media
• Organized and ability to follow-up on tasks
• Self directed in creating and executing marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

Work in the community (North Hills, City of Pittsburgh & Monroeville areas) - Outside Sales:

• Build relationships with business owners and pet-related venues to gain support spreading the word about Camp Bow Wow
• Find events and represent Camp Bow Wow at events
• Work in the community developing leads at a variety of different venues, such as. . .
  • Dog Parks
  • Vets
  • Dog friendly businesses
• Perform competitive analysis

Camp - Inside Sales:

• Perform and manage social media accounts to drive brand awareness and increase sales
• Research and implement marketing programs for existing client base
• Produce the local content section of the monthly newsletter
• Identify and implement strategy to maximize client referrals
• Perform follow-up calls on leads generated at events, businesses and the dog park to increase interviews and build relationships
• Educate our staff on marketing initiatives and goals
• Hosting events in and out of Camp for the current customer and to meet new clients
