Job description

A rewarding nursing career opportunity has just become available in Southern Oklahoma for the Stroke Program Coordinator RN!

This nurse leader will play an integral role as both the Nursing Education and Professional Development leader, and will also serve as the facility’s Lead Coordinator for the Stroke Program.

Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer CNO, the Stroke Program Coordinator RN will establish new program initiatives, ensure compliance, prepare for upcoming accreditation surveys, lead various stroke-focused programs and committees, cross-collaborate with internal and external partners and vendors, and ultimately ensure delivery of exceptional patient care throughout the facility.

The Stroke Program Coordinator RN will also maintain direct oversight of clinical education staff for each area of the hospital, managing responsibility for all hospital education programs and curricula. The Nursing Education and Stroke Program Coordinator will become responsible for oversight of continuing education programs, professional development, in addition to affiliation agreements for clinical student rotations and internships.

The Stroke Program Coordinator must be a Registered Nurse or Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a clinical stroke background. The Stroke Program Coordinator RN should be organized, able to effectively communicate findings, act as a department resource, and be up to date on best practices, policies and procedures related to stroke programs.
