ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with Shreveport, LA office's Producers, Marketing Team, and clients on marketing of new and renewal commercial lines business to appropriate underwriters/carriers.
Serve as a liaison between clients, producers, and representatives of underwriters/carriers.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with representatives of underwriters/carriers.
Gather and organize appropriate information from client required to market account.
Evaluate client's portfolios to determine client's insurance objectives.
Research insurance markets to determine the appropriate markets to be approached for assigned accounts.
Quote and rate new and renewal business and prepare submissions to the market place.
Review and negotiate coverages and pricing terms with underwriters/carriers.
Analyze and compare proposed insurance plans to determine suitability.
Assist Producers with presentations to clients for new and renewal business proposals.
Issue binding instructions and notification to underwriters/carriers and issue binders.
Maintain accurate and up to date data and activities in Company's agency management software according to Company's policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Associate's college degree or higher, plus three (3) or more years of work experience in insurance marketing role(s); or
High School diploma or equivalent, plus five (5) or more years work experience in insurance marketing role(s).
Licensing Requirement: Presently hold a valid Louisiana Property & Casualty insurance license in compliance with continuing education requirements.
Experience using Applied (EPIC) Agency Management System is preferred.
Familiarity with commercial insurance brokerage industry, including products, rating, underwriting, coverages, and applicable laws and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Ability to prioritize time sensitive assignments from multiple Producers in a fast paced work environment.
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation and negotiation skills.
Highly organized multi-tasker with critical attention to details.
Willingness to take direction and adapt to dynamic processes and protocols with a cooperative attitude.
Self-motivated and resourceful problem-solver who is able to work independently and as part of a team
