The Sr Cyber Security Engineer on the Operations Incident Response Team acts as the subject matter expert for the brand's Security Operations, and will drive the response and resolution efforts for all incidents within the company. This position will tackle complex problems, conduct thorough troubleshooting, and effectively triage incidents while working with a team of skilled cyber security engineers to address and bring resolution to incidents as they occur. This role will help improve detection capabilities by working with other teams to develop new detection rules and techniques and will also track long term remediation efforts conducted by other Wendy’s teams. This position will provide critical foundational security services to company headquarters, corporate restaurants, and franchisee restaurants, and will maintain a close relationship with other internal information security teams, IT partners, vendors, and business partners to further efforts to protect the brand. The Incident Handler will need direct hands-on engagement of products such as Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, Email Security, and SIEM to be successful in this role.

This role can be performed remotely, but the selected candidate will be required to live in the Central Ohio area and in driving distance of our office in Dublin, OH in case of critical incidents that require an onsite presence. This role  will also be part of an on-call process for any potential critical events after hours. #LI-Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary for Incident Response activities while researching, analyzing, and applying cyber security threat intelligence to identifiy areas of potential risk.
• Escalates cyber security events according to the company’s Incident Response Plan.
• Communicates and reports during all phases of an incident by establishing and maintaining clear communication channels with stakeholders while preparing and delivering updates and incident reports.
• Evauates escalations from security incident and event management (SIEM) and logging environments for security events and alerts to potential (or active) threats, intrusions, and/or compromises.
• Participates in the Security Operations Cyber Threat Intelligence efforts by sharing in-depth knowledge of common security exploits, vulnerabilities and countermeasures with other teams across Wendy’s.

What we expect from you

• Minimum 2 years with Incident Response/Incident Handling
• Minimum 5 years in Information Technology/Information Security experience
• Information systems knowledge with competency in at least one relevant technology utilized at Wendy's (SIEM, Linux, Windows, Network, Firewalls, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with good verbal and written communication abilities.
• Expertise in one or more security technologies deployed at Wendy's.
• Understanding of Cyber Threat, vulnerabilitiies, and emerging threats.
• Industry certifications like CISSP, CISA, GIAC, Etc.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.  This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. *  The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $140,000 Annually
