Job description
Position Summary:
The Senior Marketing Copywriter is responsible for creating marketing copy for MA/SHOP.COM digital assets such as banners, emails, and digital magazines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of digital marketing materials and other related content types for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute as a critical stakeholder for all content development activities.
- Be able to adapt to different channels and their content needs – example, on site banners, emails, landing pages, digital magazines, SMS, social media channels, etc.
- Be proficient in basic terminology in the realm of health and nutrition, beauty and general ecommerce.
- Write customer focused content with a goal of converting customers to get increased revenue
- Keep up with latest trends in digital ad copy
- Assist CMO on special projects as needed
- Market research to understand consumer behaviour, latest digital marketing trends etc.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing concepts and techniques, including analytics.
- Collaborates with executive management, product managers and other team leaders to ensure appropriate messaging and content strategy for all concerned Web Portals and mini Websites
- Develops new content for Websites for promotional activities to increase revenue and meet project goals.
- Assists in writing, proofreading, reviewing, and editing other Editorial Team projects for accuracy, brand consistency, and corporate standards.
- Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•None, but may direct and/or train others.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, E-commerce, Marketing or related field.
•Three to five years of experience in content creation, writing or social media areas.
•Or combination of equivalent education, experience, and training.
Skills:
•Proficiency in MS Office Products,
•Above moderate to high levels of English reading comprehension, writing, speaking; active listening; critical thinking; monitoring; coordination; analysis; troubleshooting; judgment; originality; and attention to detail.
