Job Description Summary
The Finance Specialist will be expected to play a key leadership role driving cross functional partnership among the management team in the Grand Forks blade factory. The role will help with driving optimal performance (cost, fulfillment, quality, cash) and profitability through the Supply Chain. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. The role will report directly to the Grand Forks Finance Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Support site/region strategy and execution of manufacturing finance activities, coordinating planning, pacing, and closing activities.
- Support plant finance manager with P&L and balance sheet activities, including cost accounting, inventory controls (PI, Revals, standards, variances, etc.), product fulfillment, and COGS booking, functional costs, VCP/BCP, P&E, etc.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
- Drive overall standard work and continuous improvement with key processes for manufacturing finance.
- Proactively seek opportunities for automation, standardization, process improvement, and cost out in conjunction with reporting requirements.
- Acts as an SME for colleagues with less experience to help coach and mentor to understand key topics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Finance / Accounting
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Finance or Accounting areas
- Previous MS Dynamics AX experience would be an advantage
Desired Characteristics
- Preferred graduate of finance management leadership programs (e.g. FMP, PFLP, etc.)
- Supply chain finance is an advantage
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated success working with cross functional teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attitude to “own” problems and responsibility areas
- Can handle big databases and running reports from ERP
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure
- High level of organization, attention to detail and commitment to meeting deliverables
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
