How does this role contribute to our collective success?
This role will join our innovation team, which is comprised of highly skilled generalists with various insurance & role backgrounds. Although our team is highly collaborative, all team members are expected to have a level of autonomy.
The senior process analyst is responsible for process analysis & design, root cause & gap analysis, improvement identification and implementation, and mapping & managing an inventory of business process across all functional insurance & claims activities for North America. The ideal candidate has varied experience as a business analysis, project management, stakeholder & change management.
What will you be responsible for in this role?
- Engaging with a range of stakeholders across the business to facilitate, document and present the Voice of the Customer (VOC), Voice of the Product (VOP), Personas, and associated Use Cases.
- Identifying, documenting, and presenting vital business process information and metrics across the Current State and Future State
- Working independently to examine processes, data, and systems to understand the opportunities and impacts across operations when forming the basis of the improvements and Future State (VOC, Time Motion Metrics, Waste Analysis)
- Testing and executing business process, procedure, and system changes to ensure the expected outcomes are consistent with stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Monitoring and supporting the implementation of the Future State, setting up effective metrics to track improvements and continually validate learning with stakeholders.
- Capturing, analyzing, and documenting business requirements
- Work with the business, facilitating meetings to gain an understanding of their area and working closely with the business throughout the entire assignment.
- Championing and applying best practice tools and techniques from Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen events, Design Thinking, Agile, Waterfall and BPM/N methodologies with Stakeholders and Change Team
- Develop deep understanding of the business to add value in developing solution options and problem solving.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment among all stakeholders, including sourcing and integrating their input throughout the innovation/project management lifecycle.
- Provide the business with effective support and advice/expertise in relation to potential operational changes, including updated procedures and User Guides
- Assisting the team in evaluating and advising on process opportunities for efficiency and productivity.
- Supporting with ad-hoc exploratory research on innovation opportunities
- Continuously reviewing and adjusting our activities to keep alignment with the AXIS strategic roadmap.
- Collaborate with Change Management, OPS, IT and Underwriting, in defining, designing and implementing a Proof-of-Concept through Production Pilot using our Innovation playbook (includes- initial assessment, artifact creation, stakeholder engagement, feasibility study, business case development, pilot design and planning, resource identification, success definition, evaluation criteria/KPIs, scaling strategy, risk management and compliance, change management & training identification, and go-live and monitoring)

- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
- Assist in developing, investigating, conducting analysis, and developing high level recommendations…particularly for process improvement, new process design, finding innovation opportunities etc.
- Creating Process maps: Current / Future State, Cross Functional Process Flow, BPMN, Value Stream Mapping, SIPOC- People, Process and Technology
- Developing a process ownership matrix – creation, alignment & maintenance
- Insurance industry experience especially focused on Specialty & Commercial Lines Insurance- Operations, Underwriting, Claims, etc.
- Experience working within project management software/methodologies (MS Project, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Jira, OpenText, etc) / Agile, Waterfall, Scrum
- Working knowledge and experience with commercial and/or specialty (re)Insurance software and processes (Duck Creek, Guidewire, etc)
- Proficiency with standard methodologies: Lean, Agile and Design Thinking application
- Proficiency with process tools- Excel, Visio, and BPMN tools (Bonita BPM, BlueWorks Live, Camunda, Flowable, etc)
- Certification or equivalent in Business Analysis (IIBA) and/or Project Management (PMP) certifications

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of: $90k-$120K.
The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location. In addition, all employees are eligible for competitive incentive targets, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
