Job Summary:
You will play a vital role in supporting the general accounting and finance functions of the American Group. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain accounting policies and procedures, analyze financial results, and implement process improvements as needed.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly journal entries for assigned entities, adhering to established accounting standards and procedures.
Conduct thorough reviews of monthly accounts receivable and corresponding reserves.
Perform comprehensive month-end reviews of facility general ledger and financial statements.
Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned entities.
Generate monthly internal financial reports to support management in operational reviews and internal control compliance.
Collaborate with facilities and Corporate to enhance business processes and accounting systems, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance by maintaining adherence to accounting policies and procedures and contributing to the development of new controls.
Maintain fixed asset records and reporting for assigned entities.
Support external audits, including year-end financial statement audits and quarterly reviews.
Participate in ERP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, as well as accounting integration of business acquisitions.
Act as a liaison with National Group facility management and accounting personnel, assisting in budget preparation, financial close, and external audit support.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles and procedures.
Healthcare/Hospital experience preferred.
Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with accounting software such as Lawson, Oracle, Meditech, Cerner, or OneStream is advantageous.
Familiarity with internal controls development.
Self-directed, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong customer service orientation.
