Position Summary:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Analytics Analyst with an extensive background in PowerBI, SQL, and other visualization tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of finance and a proven ability to analyze complex data sets, automate processes, and effectively communicate insights to senior management. This role will be responsible for utilizing data platforms (AWS, Databricks), standardizing reporting infrastructure, and providing financial planning, analysis, and forecasting support to our Genetic Sciences Division (GSD). The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to program in Python.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize data platforms, including MS SQL Server and AWS Redshift, to ensure accurate and efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting dashboards using PowerBI and other visualization tools to provide actionable insights to the business.
• Collaborate with internal finance, commercial, and product management teams to standardize and scale reporting infrastructure.
• Provide financial planning, analysis, and forecasting support to the Genetic Sciences Division.
• Automate data processes and reporting using Python and VBA to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in finance analytics, data visualization, and process automation.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS Degree in finance, business, math, statistics, computer science, data science or related
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience in data analytics, business intelligence, finance, commercial analytics, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience of building data models
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets and relational databases, such as MS SQL Server and AWS Redshift.
• Extensive experience using PowerBI and other visualization tools to create interactive dashboards and reports.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience automating data processes and reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present sophisticated financial analysis to senior management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work across a matrix org structure and influence business partners
• Self-motivated, able to drive actions to completion with intensity and ownership
• Passionate about learning business and data
• Ability to travel (10%)
