Job summary:

Our client is seeking a full-time Academic Detailer to support their mission in advancing healthcare outcomes by providing mentorship, technical assistance, and training to medical providers and healthcare stakeholders. This position combines clinical pharmacy expertise with educational skills to enhance the quality of patient care and promote evidence-based practices in medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD). The Academic Detailer will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication management, foster best practices, reduce stigma, and contribute to overall success of the mission.

Job duties for this position include:

·         Deliver engaging and evidence-based educational presentations to healthcare providers, support staff, and other stakeholders.

·         Disseminate information on pharmaceutical products, disease states, clinical guidelines, and best practices.

·         Establish and maintain strong working relationships with medical providers

·         Offer guidance and support through one-on-one academic detailing sessions, providing both technical and clinical guidance.

·         Assist healthcare professionals in resolving medication-related challenges pertaining to substance use disorder management

·         Develop and conduct training sessions for healthcare providers and staff to enhance their understanding of pharmaceutical products and evidence-based treatment strategies.

·         Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the safe and effective use of medications, promotion of MOUD, and other evidence-based strategies for substance use disorders.

·         Collect and analyze data related to medication utilization, adherence, and outcomes. Use this information to tailor educational interventions and improve patient care.

·         Stay current with the latest developments in clinical pharmacy and healthcare guidelines. Share this knowledge with healthcare providers to promote best practices.

Qualifications for this job include:

·         Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or related degree from an accredited institution OR Registered Nurse

·         Experience in academic detailing or health education is a plus

·         Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to engage and educate healthcare professionals effectively

·         Proficiency in data analysis and report generation

·         Ability to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team

Work environment:

The work environment includes both office-based services, hospital-based settings and community outreach. Individual wellness checks and crisis intervention required. Subject to unpredictable situations, patient crises, to include behavioral, medical and psychiatric crisis.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
